PGA Frisco Has a Full Veterans Day Weekend Planned
Frisco’s sprawling golf and entertainment campus at 3255 PGA Pkwy is doing more than waving a flag this Veterans Day. PGA Frisco has a five-day run of programming from November 7 through November 11 that gives active military and veterans a genuine reason to show up — and brings something for the rest of the community as well.
The Supercars Show: Saturday, November 7, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The weekend kicks off with a Veterans Day Supercars Show on the morning of November 7. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the PGA Frisco grounds, giving car enthusiasts and families a chance to walk the display before the afternoon crowds build. If you have kids who would otherwise be at Chalk the Park over at Kaleidoscope Park that same day, the timing is tight but workable — the Supercars Show wraps up early enough that you could realistically hit both.
There is no admission charge listed for viewing the car display, which fits the broader spirit of the weekend. The Supercars Show is the marquee draw for November 7, but the programming does not stop there.
Five Days of Food Discounts for Military Members
From Saturday, November 7 through Veterans Day itself, Wednesday, November 11, military members receive 25 percent off food at two spots on the PGA Frisco campus: Ice House and Lounge by Topgolf. Both venues sit on the 660-acre property that opened here in Frisco in 2023, and both have become regular stops for residents who want a meal or drinks without driving down to the Dallas dining corridor.
The 25 percent discount applies through the full stretch of days, not just on November 11, which gives military families flexibility. A weekday lunch on the 10th counts just as much as a Saturday outing.
Why This Registers Beyond a Single Event
Frisco’s military-connected population is not a small one. Proximity to the Dallas-Fort Worth metro means a significant number of active-duty families and veterans have settled in Collin County, and PGA Frisco’s Veterans Day programming is one of the more concrete gestures a major local venue has made toward that community this fall.
The campus itself offers enough variety that a visit does not require anyone to pick up a golf club. Ice House is a casual outdoor bar and grill concept, and Lounge by Topgolf carries the recognizable brand that most Frisco residents already know from the standalone location nearby. The Supercars Show adds a visual centerpiece that works for people who have no particular interest in golf but want a free Saturday morning activity with some spectacle attached.
Logistics
PGA Frisco is located at 3255 PGA Pkwy, Frisco, TX 75033. Parking on the property is available. The Supercars Show on November 7 runs 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The food discount at Ice House and Lounge by Topgolf is valid for military members November 7 through November 11. Verification of military status will presumably be required at point of sale, so bring a valid military ID.
If you are planning around the broader Veterans Day weekend in Frisco, the Community Parade on Main Street is on Friday, November 14 at 10 a.m. — just after the PGA Frisco programming wraps. The two events do not overlap, so residents who want to honor the week across multiple activities have a clear path to do it.
A Note on Timing
November 7 is a busy Saturday on the Frisco calendar. Beyond the Supercars Show, Hammerfest opens at Frisco Heritage Center, Chalk the Park runs at Kaleidoscope Park, and Wholesome Clinic holds its community grand opening on Preston Road. If you are trying to get to PGA Frisco specifically for the car display, the 11 a.m. start gives you a clean window before the afternoon fills up.
